As we all know, more and more women are choosing to stay home to raise their children. With inflation and the rise in cost of living, while staying at home, more women are forced to find ways to supplement their income. Many women are capitalizing on these circumstances to pursue their lifelong dream of a writing career.

The Mom Writer’s Literary Magazine (MWLM) is an online literary magazine for mom writers and authors who are trying to raise a family while simultaneously managing a writing career. The MWLM is a wonderful resource for mom writers with feature essays, book reviews, author profiles, poetry and they even offer a Blog for mom writers. The MWLM team has exciting plans to launch their first “Best-Of” print issue in the near future.

Paula Schmitt, Founder and President of Mom Writer’s Literary Magazine recently learned that her online magazine for mom authors was named one of the “Best Sites for Writers” by Writer’s Digest Magazine in their May 2006 issue.

“When I heard the news that MWLM was now an ‘award-winning’ magazine, I was ecstatic and a bit shocked” states Schmitt. “There is such an overwhelming amount of competition in this market; I felt it was a huge success to achieve recognition for all the hard work and long hours that go into each issue. As much as I’m personally overjoyed, a good portion of the success is attributable to the outstanding team I am fortunate to work with.”

The Mom Writer’s Literary Magazine has had an impressive line up of authors profiled and interviewed for their cover stories – some of which included Elizabeth Pantley, Joshilyn Jackson, Leah Stewart, Elizabeth Brundage and Jacquelyn Mitchard.
