Former St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Executive Opens Consultancy for Nonprofit and Corporate Organizations

Memphis, TN (PRWEB) April 10, 2006 -- Phil McCarty, former Vice President of National Corporate Alliances with ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, has announced the opening of his new marketing consultancy, McCarty Partners. The practice will focus on strategic development and implementation of cause-related marketing programs, brand awareness and public education campaigns, and corporate cause platforms and social responsibility initiatives.
McCarty led the corporate marketing efforts of ALSAC/St. Jude, the nation’s third largest health-related charity, and started the organization’s first corporate alliances division. His work included developing integrated fundraising and brand awareness programs for companies including Chili’s Grill and Bar, Tommy Hilfiger U.S.A., Visa U.S.A, Hancock Fabrics, The Bombay Company and many others. Most recently, he directed the nationally recognized Thanks and Giving program, a major holiday fundraising campaign involving celebrities such as Marlo Thomas, Morgan Freeman and Faith Hill and some of the nation’s top retailers including Target, Williams-Sonoma and Kay Jewelers. Thanks and Giving generated millions of dollars in fundraising for St. Jude and more than 2.5 billion media impressions. The NonProfit Times recently cited McCarty as leading the world’s best cause marketing programs and campaigns through his work at St. Jude.
Prior to joining St. Jude, McCarty was an advertising executive leading account teams and initiatives for clients including FedEx, Doubletree Hotels, Entergy Corporation, and numerous regional and national nonprofit organizations.
