Today with the world moving at lightning speed, the private chef to the stars will demonstrate how to shop in your local grocery store and prepare gourmet meals without spending all day in the kitchen. Richard Florczak, author of The Private Chef cookbook and personal chef to director and actor Mel Gibson, will conduct a cooking demonstration on Saturday, April 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Cook’s Warehouse newest location in Decatur (180 West Ponce de Leon Avenue). A book signing and mini-tasting will be held on Sunday, April 23 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at The Cook’s Warehouse Midtown store (549-I Amsterdam Ave. N.E.).
During the event Florczak will demonstrate how to prepare Creamy Tortilla Soup, Grilled Swordfish with Thai Coconut Sauce, and Champagne Terrine with Seasonal Berries. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample culinary delights, record recipes, and talk with Florczak about life as the private chef to the stars.
