Public Libraries Save Time and Money with Reference Online
RM Online and Swets provide services to The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.
(PRWEB) April 8, 2006 -- On 24th February 2006 the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council's (MLA) launched its new service, Reference Online aimed at England's 149 public library authorities. Reference Online (www.mla.gov.uk/website/programmes/online_initiatives/reference_online), provides library managers with easy access to 26 electronic subscription based products, including directories, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, newspapers and business information. As part of reference Online The MLA has brokered a deal with RM Online and its partner Swets to provide Libraries with RM's extensive database of company and business information.
The aRMadillo service (www.rmonline.com) contains detailed information on over 100 million companies worldwide as well as access to copies of original company documents filed by companies in the UK and Ireland. In addition to the regular service and as part of the MLA offering, aRMadillo have developed a new detailed report for UK companies which is only available through the library subscription account. Each subscription account comes pre-loaded with a number pf pre-paid MLA reports which can be offered to Library users at no charge. The number of reports provided depends on the level of subscription taken and represents excellent value for both the library and the Library user.
