Calgary, AB (PRWEB) April 7, 2006
Electronic Recycling Association of Alberta donates 1000 computers to needy recipients in Alberta thanks to donations of old computers from Alberta's corporate giants.
In 2006 ERA has identified some 50 3rd World countries that have many school and universities and colleges that still can not afford computers for students to use.
It is ERA's goal to collect over 100,000 computers in Alberta and British Columbia from various corporations and government departments to use in its socially beneficial programs, in 2006. Ensuring that everyone has access to computers and technology. Seniors, children, disadvantaged communities, charities and non profit groups, in Canada firstly and then world wide.
You and your company can also help the ERA succeed by donating your old computers rather than taking them to the landfill or for recycling. ERA has many drop off depots in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver where you can deliver a computer for donation and recycling. ERA also offers a pickup service to large companies and government departments.
Any computers that can not be used would be recycled and kept out of the landfills ensuring environmental protection of the highest standard. ERA is currently attempting to develop a landfill collection program in British Columbia, to prevent all computers and electronics from being buried by placing specialty made bins in landfills for separation and removal of all electronics that end up in the landfill.
