Search Expressions Make the Intelligent Message Filter Even Smarter

WinDeveloper unveiled the new content matching engine included with WinDeveloper IMF Tune version 2.8. This and many other features are further enriching the Microsoft Intelligent Message Filter anti-spam capabilities.

Valletta, Malta (PRWEB) April 11, 2006 -- WinDeveloper Software announced the final release of WinDeveloper IMF Tune version 2.8. This release is a major update, greatly boosting the Intelligent Message Filter (IMF) effectiveness.

The update unveils a brand new content matching engine bringing the power of search expressions to IMF. Whitelists, Blacklists and SCL Management may now identify email matching criteria with greater effectiveness. Version 2.8 also adds the ability to search email bodies and the combined subject/body for spam filtering purposes. Other improvements include various configuration user interface enhancements, improved address/keyword import support and faster adoption of configuration changes.

The new content matching engine is the heart of this release. "We wanted IMF to have top content matching capabilities. This release brings a new design explicitly meant to efficiently handle complex expressions", explained Alexander Zammit the Head Developer at WinDeveloper. Expressions are constructed with the help of AND, OR, NOT operators. These combine different keywords and phrases to be analyzed against email content. Double-quotes add the ability to enforce exact matching, whole word matching and matching the start/end character sequence of words. To round it off the intuitive Expression Builder interface enables constructing complex expressions with minimal effort.

The new Microsoft Intelligent Message Filter version included with Exchange 2003 SP2 is encouraging more organizations to adopt IMF. WinDeveloper sees IMF Tune v2.8 as an opportunity to renew its commitment towards IMF users. "We are very excited of the progress made in the latest IMF release. Now that Microsoft is releasing regular updates the filtering effectiveness is at its best. More than ever before, the IMF and IMF Tune combination is becoming the spam filtering solution of choice", concluded Alexander.

Each IMF Tune license includes two years of free upgrades. This means that version 2.8 is completely free to all licensed IMF Tune v2.x users. "This is the fourth IMF Tune release packed with new functionality", explained Stephanie Farrugia Sales and Marketing Manager, "When compared to the first release the feature set has more than doubled. Most importantly this comes at no extra cost".

IMF Tune is priced per server starting from $298 for a single server. Multiple server licenses can further benefit from discounts.
