American Health Insurance] won’t offer any plan we wouldn’t recommend to our own families.

Blue Cross of California, a division of Wellpoint Inc., has recognized American Health Insurance of Northridge California for their Individual production in 2005 by appointing them to their Blue Cross 2006 Premier Partner Program.

This program is extended to only the few top producers for the previous year. Being chosen as a recipient of this program and the benefits that go along with it are yet another “feather in the cap” of company that has experienced a meteoric rise from a small start up company in 2003 to a major force in the national Health Insurance market place today.

“It is with great pride that I accept this honor”, beamed Chuck Mondrus, President and CEO of American Health Insurance. “Our goal is to offer only the very best health insurance plans and customer service experience. Blue Cross of California has given us the tools to make this happen. We would not have been able to achieve our record sales numbers in such a short period of time without the close working relationship we have developed over the past three years.” Mondrus stated.

WellPoint, Inc. (formerly Anthem, Inc.) was formed when WellPoint Health Networks Inc. and Anthem, Inc. merged in 2004 to become the nation's leading health benefits company.

Both companies believed that stable growth comes in large part from a customer base that is diversified by both size and geography. Throughout their histories, Anthem and WellPoint have achieved a portion of this growth through mergers and acquisitions. WellPoint, Inc. recently merged with WellChoice, Inc., making New York the 14th state in which WellPoint is a Blue Cross Blue Shield licensee.

American Health Insurance, based out of a suite of offices located in the Los Angeles area, specializes in health insurance for individuals and small business groups of 20-50 people. Within a short span of 3 years, AHI has created a new definition of how a successful agency should operate. Relying solely on the Internet as a means of marketing, leads are gathered and processed in real time. A team of customer service agents makes contact and explains the various plans keeping the descriptions informative but simple to understand.

“The success of our company is due in no small part to the commitment of our agents to help each and every person we speak with make an informed decision. We treat our clients like family!” Mondrus said. "American Health Insurance won’t offer any plan we wouldn’t recommend to our own families.”
