MISCO Slashes Prices as Much as 55% on Refractometer Lines

MISCO announces unprecedented price cuts on its traditional and economy handheld refractometer lines. Previously priced from $125 to $325 (US), prices have been reduced by 10 to 55%, with an average price decrease of 30%.

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) April 8, 2006 -- MISCO announces unprecedented price cuts on its traditional and economy handheld refractometer lines. Previously priced from $125 to $325 (US), prices have been reduced by 10 to 55%, with an average price decrease of 30%. Savings of up to $176.00 per unit are possible on the Traditional Line, while all the Economy Instruments are now priced under $100.

“Our prices have never before been this low on our premium traditional refractometer line,” said Michael Caminer, MISCO’s Director of Marketing. “This represents an incredible opportunity for companies to save money on testing instruments.”

A refractometer is a precision optical instrument designed to measure the concentration or mixture ratio of water soluble fluids. The instrument measures refractive index, the speed at which light passes through a liquid. The denser the liquid, the slower the light will travel through it, and the higher its reading will be on the refractometer.

A traditional refractometer is a handheld refractometer with an analog scale, much like a thermometer scale. Viewed through an eyepiece, readings are taken where a contrast line crosses the scale divisions. Refractometers are used for measuring antifreeze, brake fluid, metalworking fluids, the amount of sugar in fruits, vegetables, and fruit juices, wine, urine specific gravity, blood protein concentration, and salinity.

A world leader in the refractometer field, MISCO Refractometer is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, home to the company for more than 55 years. MISCO designs, manufacturers and sells a variety of refractometers, including: digital bench-top laboratory refractometers, inline process control refractometers, digital handheld refractometers, and traditional handheld instruments.
