Enterprise Device Manager 2.1 takes infrastructure management up another notch with the introduction of a new thermographic view of your data center. Other new features include scheduling and tracking of maintenance records, warranty and service agreement tracking and reporting, enhanced asset management, support for new devices and a number of new reports. Version 2.1 integrates seamlessly with Enterprise Modbus to allow you to monitor SNMP and Modbus devices from the same console.

The Advantage Group is pleased to announce version 2.1 of Enterprise Device Manager. Enterprise Device Manager is a web-based application that allows you to monitor critical infrastructure devices such as UPSs, PDUs, HVAC units, IP cameras, switches, routers, environmental monitors and much more. The software works with devices that communicate using SNMP, Modbus, Telnet and other network protocols.

The secure web user interface is powerful but very easy to use. Import your own images to allow you to display an accurate representation of your physical layout. Drill all the way down to the rack level to see the physical location of all of your equipment. Run reports to correlate data from all of your devices, regardless of the manufacturer.

New features in version 2.1 include:

Thermographic mapping - Imagine clicking a button and seeing a real-time visual depiction of the hot spots in your data center. Enterprise 2.1 does just that, pulling data from all devices in your data center that measure temperature and then visually displaying the temperature data on your own data center layout.

Maintenance Tracking – Enterprise 2.1 allows you to easily keep track of all the maintenance done on your devices. You can even schedule maintenance to be performed and Enterprise will let you know if the scheduled maintenance is overdue.

Warranty and Service Agreement Tracking – Enterprise 2.1 allows you to easily manage warranty and service agreements. You can run a report that will let you know when warranties and service agreements are due to expire.

Modbus Support – Enterprise 2.1 integrates seamlessly with Enterprise Modbus to expand the monitoring capabilities to all devices that communicate using Modbus. Both serial and TCP Modbus are supported, so you can now monitor your HVAC units, generators, Cell Watch Battery monitor and more.

Enhanced Asset Management – Enterprise 2.1 has added a number of new fields for managing and reporting assets. Keep track of asset tags, serial numbers, purchase orders, location, owner and more.

Enhanced Global Sets – Enterprise 2.1 makes it easier than ever to set thresholds on a global basis. Set temperature thresholds across disparate devices. Set power thresholds across a range of PDUs from different manufacturers.

Enhanced Device Search – The new device search allows you more ways to locate a device. You can now choose by manufacturer, model, IP address, or device or group name.

New Reports – There are a number of new reports to give you access to even more critical information on temperature and power parameters.
