New Thriller Proves Some Have a Tainted Calling

Secrets of the past are revealed as characters come to life in a new thriller by author Raven W. Night.

The main characters in “13 Days” by Raven W. Night (ISBN 142590808)are constantly struggling with the reality of life. What is real and What is not? “All of the characters share the same folly,” explains Night. “They were all born with a destiny but not all destinies end with a Happy story.”

Not every person is destined for greatness, regardless if it is in real life or in the fictional novel authored by Night. “Some of us were destined for mediocrity, while others receive a more tainted calling,” clarifies Night. The horror and madness of the everyday world is sometimes hidden in the most unlikely places. “Reality is sometimes more than just what you can see,” explains Night. In “13 Days” two men, John Savior and Colonel Justice, are searching for a serial killer that never leaves behind a clue and that nobody has ever seen. In this tainted tale, nightmares become doorways to possible realities and each reality has its own set of rules.

In real life, Night created his own set of rules. “When I was younger I used to get in trouble a lot because I would always write about evil things, at least that is what all of my teachers used to say,” laments Night. “I used to tell them that the truth is the most horrific fiction there is, and that is why sometimes it is so hard to believe. I was tired of getting in trouble so I created an alter ego.” Night made the alter ego a lot like himself but with a little more compassion and sympathy. The altered identity started out as a joke but after awhile Night stopped getting in trouble and ironically enough, he was receiving praise.

Born in River Falls, WI, Night lives in Irvine, California.
