Easter Reflections at the “Franciscanized World”

New “Franciscanized World” page at www.fscc-calledtobe.org prompts spiritual reflection with free song download and images.

Green Bay, WI (PRWEB) April 10, 2006 -- The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity have unveiled a new “Franciscanized World” page on their website http://www.fscc-calledtobe.org

The page is designed to invite participation and reflection from visitors, in particular young women discerning their call in life. "Seeing the world as Saints Francis and Clare did -realistically, compassionately, finding good and holy possibility in the substance and culture of everyday life."

Seeing the world as Saints Francis and Clare did -realistically, compassionately, finding good and holy possibility in the substance and culture of everyday life.
Designed to prompt thoughtful interactive reflection among young Catholic women discerning their vocations in life, “Franciscanized World” will feature a new image for reflection and free song download each month

April’s song is “Christ is my Hope” by the popular band “The Innocence Mission”. The image is of the “Risen Christ”, from artist Gabriel Loire’s installation at Immaculate Conception parish in suburban Chicago.

"Talking to our current and prospective candidates in their 20’s, we wanted to know the best way to reach their peers– other young women who may be interested in knowing more about us, and possibly joining us,” Sr. Julie Ann said. “We want to present our life as a viable option. Personal invitation is always best; however, we became convinced that real conversations can begin by using the language of images and music.”

Established in 1869, the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity serve in Catholic health care, education and parish ministries in 11 U.S. dioceses (Green Bay, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Tucson, Honolulu, Chicago, Marquette, Jackson, Omaha, Columbus and Steubenville).
