BCI Will Adopt the Latest MPEG-4 Video Compression with QoS Internet Protocol

Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI) announces the adoption of the latest MPEG 4 video compression and quality-of-service (QoS) IP transmission protocol into its fiber optic audio/video/data (AVD) transmission system product lines. This new adoption is motivated by recent trends to transmit audio/video/data over IP network.

Torrance, CA (PRWEB) April 12, 2006 -- Broadata Communications, Inc.

“Although video over IP is a very attractive approach for numerous real-time multimedia delivery applications, users are still hesitating to adopt the technology due to the concerns of video transmission quality,” remarked by BCI President and CEO, Dr. Freddie Lin. “To ensure the highest quality in AVD delivery, we have been leveraging the latest MPEG 4 video compression with our own unique IP QoS protocol. The combination of the two technologies over high bandwidth fiber optic links eliminates this concern of poor video transmission quality”.

Developed by its multi-Ph.D. R&D Team, BCI’s IP performance enhancement technology uses an innovative network measurement scheme to intelligently monitor IP packets traveling through links while adaptively tuning IP protocol parameters. This IP enhancement mechanism is perfect for real-time multimedia delivery applications. In addition to this IP performance enhancement technology, the BCI R&D Team has also attracted several millions of development dollars from third parties developing fore-front networking technologies, such as TDM Ethernet, integrated encrypted video compression, real-time network traffic prediction, and versatile optical network platforms, etc.

Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI) develops, manufactures and markets leading edge fiber optic, multimedia communication products. The company's patented products include audio, video and data delivery over optical fiber for advanced multimedia communications, broadcast, and network transmission applications. BCI's multimedia platforms enable end-users to implement multiple applications, conventionally requiring multiple optical transceivers and fiber links over a unified platform, requiring only a single optical link.
