Melanie Benson Strick, Founder and President of Success Connections, was awarded the Shared Vision Network’s “Excellence in Leadership and Service Award” at the March 21st meeting of Shared Vision Network Los Angeles.
The award was created to honor leaders within the organization who exhibit excellence in creating and developing business success in the entrepreneurial community. The award will be named after Strick, who has served as Director of Shared Vision Network Los Angeles since July 2003.
The award was presented to Strick at her final meeting as Director. She was given the title of Director Emeritus; the incoming Director is Suzy Prudden of Positive Change.
"Creating an award like this has been something we've been wanting to do for some time," said Ken Foster CEO of Shared Vision. "As a professional development organization for entrepreneurs, we want to have a way to reward those members who display the sort of excellence in leadership so many of us aspire to. The fact we can name it after one of our own members is just icing on the cake. Melanie displays all the attributes we look for with this award, it's the perfect fit."
Strick, who founded the Los Angeles chapter of Shared Vision Network, said, “I’m extraordinarily passionate about building communities of highly successful, educated and wealth-oriented people. I am so touched that I not only received this award but that it's named after me. This is one of the proudest moments in my professional career."
