Former 'Professional Student' Reveals Study Secrets

New study program helps college students cut their study time in half and make better grades.

Santa Barbara, CA (PRWEB) April 12, 2006 -- Based on his own college years plus seven years as a graduate student, former attorney turned entrepreneur David Allan has put together a program to help students cut their study time in half. Combining basic principles from the worlds of sports and business, Mr. Allan has created what he calls the "StudyBlitz Program". The program teaches students how to arrange and structure their studying along the lines of a sports training program with the organization and focus required to excel, as opposed to the "I'll study when the spirit moves me and without any plan at all" technique used by most students.

Mr. Allan, despite years in college, graduate school and law school, admits he hated to study. Because he worked his way through school he also lacked the time most students had to study. Through trial and error, and a little research, he developed a study program that greatly reduced his study time and better prepared him for tests and examinations.

The StudyBlitz Program came about a few years ago when his teenage daughter needed help in studying and improving her grades. He was amazed to discover that there was nothing on the market of any real value to help students study more effectively. So he spent several months putting together a study program that incorporated strategies and techniques he developed during his school years, adding new techniques he discovered in subsequent research.

Realizing that today's students are drowning in books already and do not want to read another he has filmed the program in a DVD format so students can watch it on their personal computers instead. Also included are techniques for memorizing those long lists of useless information instructors are so fond of, those annoying definitions and historical dates. While directed more towards the college crowd, it will also be of value to serious high school students on the college tract.

Mr. Allan is amazed that despite the fact the average college student has spent over 12 years in school most have never received any instruction on how to study.

"From first grade on we are just told to study, but are given little or no direction as to how to do it," he said. "The StudyBlitz Program addresses the problem by providing a simple, clear strategy for how to study properly and gives students specific techniques that will help them remember the material they are studying. I believe this program will literally revolutionize the study life of the average student."

Mr. Allan adds that while the program is obviously perfect for those students who work or are involved in sports and thus do not have as much time to study as they would like, all students can benefit from the program.

"The truth is most students don't have a clue how to study correctly," he said. "Even if saving time on studying is not that important to them, the program will teach them how to maximize their study time and better retain the material."

The StudyBlitz Program consists of the three areas: Study Structure, which address the when, where, and how of successful studying; study techniques, which set forth specific strategies for retaining important concepts, as well as memorization of lists, words and dates; and College Tips, which provides insider tips on getting good grades in college. The StudyBlitz DVD is available at StudyBlitz.com.
