Virtuas Open Source Solutions, the premier open source knowledge enablement organization, announced today Practice Leader Jeff Genender’s involvement with the Denver Java Users’ Group as keynote on Apache Geronimo at the April 12th meeting.
“Apache Geronimo PrimeTime” is an overview of the Apache Geronimo project, which is the J2EE server project of the Apache Software Foundation. The project recently passed the J2EE 1.4 specification, and will have a new 1.1 release later this month.
The event offers Colorado’s leading Java technologists a forum in which they may discuss best practices, tools, methodologies, and cutting-edge software solutions. DJUG monthly meetings are held at Denver’s Qwest Auditorium, are free and open to the public and begin at 5:30 PM (MST),
Mr. Genender, an active committer and Apache Geronimo PMC member, is the author of Apache Geronimo Live (2006, SourceBeat), Pro Geronimo (2006, Wiley) and is a frequent speaker at conferences such as Java In Action, JavaZone, and ApacheCon.
The Virtuas team will be available for meet and greet at the upcoming JavaOne 2006 conference in San Francisco, CA, May 16th – 18th, and a co-sponsor for “Apache Geronimo Live!”, an event to celebrate the project on May 17th at the W Hotel in San Francisco from 6 pm - 9 pm.
