PebbleArt Designs Revolutionary New, Eco-Friendly, Onyx and Slate Illuminated Mosaic Coffee Table

PebbleArt’s newest stone coffee table features a top which is comprised of both mountain black slate, and bottom lit illuminated onyx, arranged in a mosaic pattern across its surface, and is built using eco-friendly Rubberwood.

PebbleArt Inc., the rustic stone home décor store, has just released their newest in a long line of innovative, illuminated onyx tables. Their newest design features a mosaic table top with geometrically cut pieces of translucent honey onyx, bottom lit and framed by a dark black border of hand cut slate. The table itself is constructed of an ecologically sensitive lumber which comes from the Rubberwood tree.

Like previous illuminated models this table uses a PebbleArt original design, combining a shadow box bottom light, and a translucent onyx top, to create tables which glow with the natural colors of the stones themselves. In this newest table however, the onyx is bordered by a complimentary natural slate, which defines the surface of the piece when it is glowing, and gives it dramatic impact when it isn’t.

The ecologically positive aspects of this table are due not only to the fact that it is built from natural materials, but also because of the special wood, Chinese Rubberwood, which is used in its construction. The Rubberwood tree has a peculiar property of producing latex while it is alive, which makes its lumber stronger and more useful for manufacture. Therefore it is only after it has completed its full 20-30 year life cycle that the wood from this tree is harvested for use.

This table represents the newest design by Joseph Lewitin, an artist who has experienced an unprecedented period of creativity, developing many innovative and popular products for the PebbleArt line. He has already released several creations this year in addition to this coffee table, including a geometric stone chess set, and a series of unique wall clocks using several of the stones offered by PebbleArt. The scope and sophistication of this newest table demonstrates the growth this artist has undergone, and promises great things for future designs.

PebbleArt has been dedicated to producing the finest natural stone home décor products for five years now. Their full catalog is available to retail and wholesale customers at http://pebblez.com. This newest coffee table can be seen on the page http://pebblez.com/stone-coffee-tables.html
