Travis’ New Series, From the Ground up With Debbie Travis, Premieres April 23rd

On April 19th at 4p.m. (7 p.m. EST), decorating expert and home design TV personality Debbie Travis will check into Habbo Hotel (, one of the world’s largest and hottest on-line destinations for teenagers, for an exclusive interactive visit with Habbo members. Debbie will answer decorating questions from Habbos, and promote her exciting upcoming TV series, From The Ground Up with Debbie Travis, premiering Sunday April 23rd at 7:00pm ET/PT on Global.

Within Habbo Hotel, teens have their own private hotel rooms, which they are able to decorate any way they choose using a selection of furniture and items available in the hotel. Using a specially personalized Habbo character, Debbie will check in to Habbo Hotel and design a special room in the hotel called the “From the Ground Up” Suite. During her visit, Habbo members will be able to visit the suite to see what she’s done, and how design and décor can really take a space to the next level. She will be interviewed on the dnD Power Hour, hosted by dubya and Dileas, where she will answer questions from Habbos and discuss tips for decorating a room. Debbie’s visit and interview will give Habbos the chance to take cues from a top expert on how to add personality and flair to their virtual space. After the dnD Power Hour finishes, Debbie's room will be opened periodically, and Habbos will be able to enter a contest. The winning Habbo will receive all of the furniture in The “From The Ground Up” Suite, as well as a one month Habbo Club membership (a special Habbo membership allowing Habbos to build bigger rooms, and have access to unique decorations), and 100 Habbo Coins to help them take their own room to the next level - From The Ground Up.

From the Ground Up with Debbie Travis, premiering on April 23rd at 7pm ET/PT on Global, will give 12 young Canadians with hopes for a future in design the chance to build a luxury mansion from beginning to end, with the assistance of some of Canada’s best master craftspeople and the help of award-winning builders, Tribute Communities. The mansion must be built to the absolute highest of standards. When the mansion is sold, one of the protégés will walk away with $250,000 profit from the sale. Viewers across Canada will vote at the conclusion of the series and select the protégé they feel possesses the best attitude and ability.
