Dowling Studios & Gallery Broadcasts Live Fine Art Show -15 April: ONE~ If You Look... Will You See?

As Henry Ward Beecher noted, "Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures." ONE~ If You Look, Will You See? The fine art exhibition occurs at Dowling Studios & Gallery Saturday, April 15th, 5-10 PM EST/2-7 PM PST. The art exhibition features internationally collected artist Robert Dowlings new series of deliciously disturbing, frighteningly brilliant, and extraordinarily innocent, surreal and abstract paintings. The fine art of Aaron Horvath, Chris Knox and ‘Aja’-Ann Deland Apa-Soura will also be displayed. Maine’s own Laurie Jones will make a special guest appearance at ONE, performing original music from her new CD.

My paintings depict my fears, repressed anger and frustration from the core of my Imagination. My Dreams and the exploration of my own mind and thinking inspire and intrigue me. I’m inspired by dreams, the grandeur of nature, realizations and mini-epiphanies from listening to the whispering

in my head. I feel compelled to record these moments of my life for future reference. Through my work you will find the paintings have become relentlessly weird, emotional and elegantly strange, This is largely due to changes that are happening in my life. My paintings reflect my dreams, my moods and my life.

Robert harnesses the dark energy coiled within us, summoning it to the canvas.

ONE will be open to the public and the press at Dowling Studios and Gallery, 407 Main Street, Bangor, Maine. All works of fine art will also be shown live via studio webcam for this exciting international event. ONE will have a specifically created web page just for the exhibition, including live chat and monitors for web cam viewing, information, and sales.

At the core of ONE is the featured, internationally collected artist Robert Dowlings. Dowlings new series of deliciously disturbing, frighteningly brilliant, and extraordinarily innocent ,surreal and abstract paintings are a preview to this artists gift.
