Here’s your chance. A business journal is looking to the media for stories about PR industry antics. Strumpette.com, a new publication covering the PR Business, is currently compiling horror stories and just plain goofball “professional” behavior.

The publication is looking for things such as: inane story pitches, poor writing samples, bogus press conferences, grossly misleading news releases, etc. Think Al Capone’s Vault. As a general rule of thumb, think lies, damn lies and statistics.

Specifically, samples can be both from the media or the client side. Anonymity will be completely respected. Identities of those seeking anonymity will be held in strict confidence.

Journal editor Amanda Chapel said, “Having spent my career both as a journalist and in PR, I have always found a natural tension between the two. But frankly, PR can be boneheaded and hilarious. There are a ton of untold stories that no one has ever made an effort to compile. It promises to be both educational and entertaining. We’re hoping to shake things up some.”

Note: these stories will be featured online and also in an upcoming book. The authors of the submissions selected for the book will have an equity stake in the revenues generated.
