Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) April 20, 2006 -- The National Society for Hispanic Professionals, a nationwide non-profit association dedicated to helping professional Latinos advance in the workplace, is pleased to announce three upcoming diversity job fairs to be held across the country.

The career fairs will take place at the following locations and times:

  • June 15, 2006, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Cobb Galleria Center, Atlanta, GA
  • June 22, 2006, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – LA Convention Center, Los Angeles, CA
  • August 24, 2006, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Westin Galleria Hotel, Houston, TX

Admission is free for all job seekers.

Sponsored by the Hispanic/bilingual job board LatPro.com and Diversity Hiring Expos, these job fair events present a unique opportunity for employers and candidates to connect with each other in a single, convenient location. Participating employers will be able to immediately match open diversity and bilingual positions with professional candidates, while job seekers will have a chance to discuss future employment opportunities face-to-face with representatives from numerous organizations specifically interested in their diverse cultural backgrounds and/or language skills.

Local chapters of the most prominent Hispanic organizations in the country including the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers are scheduled to exhibit, in addition to inviting and encouraging their members to attend.

Premier companies with a commitment to diversity will also be represented, including Verizon, Liberty Mutual, the U.S. Department of State, Textron Financial, Tenet, Harrah's Laughlin, Cingular, and many more. A limited number of booths are still available for exhibitors wishing to attend.

“These career fairs are an exciting opportunity for NSHP to advance our mission of empowering Hispanic professionals and cultivating future Latino leaders,” says NSHP’s Sandra Roffo. “We encourage all professional job seekers and college students preparing to enter the workforce to join us.”
