Appellation America Names Mary Baker Regional Wine Editor for Paso Robles AVA

Baker chaired the 2004 Paso Robles Zinfandel festival, and has been a forceful and imaginative director in the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, moving the organization to major marketing initiatives. At home she is the administrative partner of Dover Canyon Winery. Around the cyberspace world, she is the respected co-host of the California forums for the 20,000-member eGullet Society. Her writing on winegrape marketing for Practical Winery & Vineyard has even been translated into Spanish for Chilean readers.

Ms Baker brings an exceptionally wide range of insight to the position, having years of experience in winery business management (Justin Winery) and promotion (Wild Horse Winery), as well as the critical eye of a very talented journalist. Mary Baker is uniquely sensitive to the promise and the challenges of building a well grounded and far reaching reputation for a burgeoning appellation like Paso.
