Broadata Communications Inc. (BCI) will feature many new products in the 2006 NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Trade Show, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV, on April 24-27, 2006. While BCI is continuing to strengthen our Fiber Optic Audio/Video Link products, BCI is also introducing new Audio/Video Over IP/Ethernet products. The introduction of the new Audio/Video Over IP/Ethernet products will further extend Audio/Video transmission beyond a fixed point-to-point fiber link, and connect any two (unicast) or more (multicast) end points anywhere in the IP/Ethernet network.

BCI’s new 230i system products can deliver real-time, full-resolution, full-motion, audio/video/data anywhere within your IP/Ethernet network, regardless of link distance and physical medium (fiber or twisted pair). BCI’s new 237i system goes one step further to include standard Pro-MPEG Forward Error Correction (FEC) for error-free audio/video delivery. It is ideal for telemedicine, distance learning, and broadcast video transmission over a wide area network (WAN) or satellite network, without worrying about dropping packets to affect video transmission quality. BCI’s new 520i system is a Multi-Channel Serial Data Over IP product, which delivers up to 8 RS232/RS422 data over one IP link for machine control and automation applications. BCI’s new 1000i system wraps SMPTE-259M SDI Video Over IP, ideal for network centric broadcast studio connectivity. It is also perfect for implementing SDI video switching between broadcast facilities using low-cost Ethernet switches.

In addition to point-to-point connectivity, large audio/video/data network designs feature Ring or Bus networking topology with add/drop capability. BCI’s 300E Fiber Optic products allow network operators to easily set up a fiber optic Ring or Bus network, offering add/drop video delivery services. In addition to the above featured new IP products, BCI will also present its new Fiber Optic Link products in Multi-Channel Audio/Video/Data transmission (300E), S-Video transmission (235 Series), TDM uncompressed RGB/YUV transmission over one fiber (4700 Series), TDM Multi-Channel SDI transmission (1600 Series), TDM SDI+AES transmission (1700 Series), and high-speed USB transmission (4900 Series).

Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI) develops, manufactures, and markets leading edge, fiber optic, multimedia communication products. Our extensive product line addresses analog and digital audio/video (NTSC, PAL, S-Video, SDI, HDI, AES, RGB, YUV, etc.), datacom/RF (Ethernet Switches, Ethernet Media Converters, series data, T1/E1, L-Band, Cable TV, CDMA/PCS, etc.) and optical network connectivity (WDM/CWDM, route protection switches, etc.). The company’s patented products include audio, video, and data delivery over optical fiber for advanced multimedia, broadcast, and network transmission applications. BCI’s multimedia platforms enable end-users to implement multiple applications, conventionally requiring multiple optical transceivers and fiber links over a unified platform, requiring only a single optical link.
