BreakThru Radio To Launch Internet Contest Celebrating The Spirit Of Independent Music

BreakThru Radio kicks off media expansion into viedowith listener contest.

With the launch of BreakThru Radio (BTR) last summer, the station’s goal was simple: to play the best music by unsigned and independent artists. The belief among the DJs at the station was that some of the best musical artists in the world were going unheard due to the brick walls put up by labels and traditional radio. This belief has been proven correct by a listening audience that has grown to more than 2 million a week -- making BTR the largest internet radio station of its kind.

In June BTR is revamping its website to include video capability and we are searching for the most creative opening for the website which captures the spirit of BTR, independent music and the music lovers who are its audience. Create an original 30-second film, poster, t-shirt, music video, etc… Include the BTR logo. We only ask that you keep it apolitical, positive, legal, original, and inspiring. Think of it as a piece that celebrates the spirit of Indie Music and BreakThru Radio.

BTR’s media player will broadcast 24 hours a day and is now accepting video submissions to launch its inaugural programming in June. Filmmakers, actors, editors and comedians can submit their original works by logging on to http://www.breakthruradio.com and selecting the “Contact Us” page.
