GollyGear is “Cool Dog Site” for April 23

GollyGear.com has been named "Cool Dog Site of the Day" by Dogmark.net.

Skokie, Ill. (PRWEB) April 23, 2006 -- GollyGear.com has been named “Cool Dog Site of the Day” for April 23 by Dogmark.net.

GollyGear co-owner Hope Saidel said “We’re delighted to be recognized this way. It’s wonderful to have all of your hard work recognized. We’re hoping this will let more people get to know us and discover all the wonderful things we can share about little dogs.”

Hope’s partner in the bricks-and-mortar and online small dog boutique is her sister; Fran Saidel. Fran is also the webmaster for GollyGear, updating the site almost daily with news items, new products and adding to the Gallery, which features photos of the shop’s four-legged customers. “That’s probably my favorite part of keeping the site up-to-the minute,” Fran says. “Getting to know our customers through their wonderful dogs is something I look forward to every day. I know that the internet can seem impersonal, but our store is a community of dog-lovers, both virtual and real.”

GollyGear.com, with the motto of “fun, affordable and practical products – especially for small dogs” currently shares space inside the Saidel sisters’ bookshop in Skokie, Illinois. Hope says “We know two things very well. One is books, the other is small dogs. While we love them both, we’ve got to admit that the dogs win, paws down, on the cuteness factor.” GollyGear opened in 2004 and the sisters are happy about the response the boutique has received. “We knew there was a need for GollyGear – we started with the products we’d been searching for. It’s been very rewarding and this honor from Dogmark makes it even better,” Hope says.

The Cool Dog Site of the Day honor has been awarded by DogMark.net for the last 10 years. Additionally, one “Cool Dog Site of the Day” is named “Cool Dog Site of the Month” every month. The honor is awarded by the votes of visitors to DogMark.net.
