Audition Radio, featuring one of our nation’s #1 Multi-Platinum Hit Record Producers & Songwriters, Mr. Michael Jonzun, as show host, is a record breaking ground for not only Solo Unsigned Artists, but Newly Signed Artists (2 yrs. or less), bands, and choirs as well. Entrants can perform music from most any genre, but it must be “ORIGINAL”, or at minimum, be an extremely unique rendition of a cover song. The music talk segments of the show will discuss current music industry issues, news, events, interviews, and answer listeners’ questions about the biz.
Mr. Jonzun (a/ka Michael Johnson & M. Johnson) brings to listeners over 30+ years of music & entertainment industry experience, a track record that touts (13) #1, (15) “Top 10”, & (25) “Top 40” Billboard Chart Hits, and 200+ million records & videos sold worldwide in most every genre from hip-hop to pop and rock on 50+ Super Star Artists, including: D4L ( “Laffy Taffy”; recently peaked at #1 on Billboard Charts1/706), Peter Wolf w/ Mick Jaggar, New Edition, New Kids On The Block, LL Cool J, Mase, Maurice Starr, 112, Ben E. Audition Radio, sponsored in part by Boston Int’l Music, Inc., and Tape Complex of New England will provide performing Artists with a much needed outlet for their work, provide listeners with a large quantity of quality original music from numerous musical genres, and provide good solid information.
How does the contest work? Bands and Music Artists from around the nation will battle it out for the # 1 position in our “Music Showdown Countdown” Winners will be selected weekly by show staff. Listeners give candid feedback and comments, either on our website, or live on-air, about Artists- - who’s a “Super Star” & who’s a “Blooper Star”. First place winners receive a Trophy of Recognition, an On-Air Interview, a listing on the AuditionRadio.com website with a sound byte, and Airplay of the Winning Composition. Second & Third place winners receive a Certificate of Commendation and listing with sound byte on the website.
There are three ways to be considered for inclusion on the show: 1.) Call our Acapella Audition Line (to be used for auditions using cover songs only) (386) 740-1944 (max. 1 min. audition, must be 18 yrs. of age to use phone line), 2.) Mail a max. 3 ½ min. audition & a max. 1 min. snippet of the full length submission (on CD, DVD, Vinyl, or Cassette) to PO Box 695, DeLand, FL 32721, or 3.) Email in an MP3 file format, a max. 3.5 min. audition & a max. 1 min. snippet of the full length submission. No materials will be returned, no material with explicit lyrics will be considered, & Entrants must be at least 16 years of age (under age 18 must have written parent/guardian permission).
