Aspen, Colo (PRWEB) April 23, 2006
Responding to the news that gas prices this summer are expected to be more than 10 percent higher than last summer, the Rocky Mountain resort town of Aspen will again offer the Aspen’s Got Free Gas & Wheels promotion. Visitors who book two or more nights at any participating Aspen lodge will receive a voucher good for up to $50 of gas from Aspen’s local gas station and all lodges will offer complimentary parking. In addition, the City of Aspen and the Aspen Chamber Resort Association are adding the following:
- Two complimentary passes per reservation to the Aspen Recreation Center (http://www.aspenrecreation.com), a $30 value.
- Two free bus rides to the magnificent Maroon Bells ($14 value) to encourage visitors to park their cars and use environmentally-friendly transportation options. (Maroon Bells bus operates from June 17, 2006 - September 4)
- Voucher for two free (one-day) bicycle rentals
“More than two thirds of Aspen’s summer visitors arrive by car,” said Debbie Braun, president of Aspen Chamber Resort Association. “Aspen’s Got Free Gas & Wheels makes it easier for families to drive to Aspen, but offers visitors car-free transportation options once they are in our beautiful resort town.”
Many Aspen lodges are participating, including economy, moderate and luxury properties. This promotion is subject to availability, is valid for one package per family, and is not available for groups or pre-existing reservations. The promotion is valid until October
All of the participating lodges will include free parking, as Aspen is an environmental leader and encourages visitors to walk, use the free bus system or bike. (http://www.aspenglobalwarming.com)
