VoicePort Wins Newspaper Agency Corporation

Newspaper Agency Corporation has selected the VoicePort speech application, CircPort, to field circulation phone calls to its two prominent Utah based newspapers; The Deseret Morning News, and The Salt Lake Tribune.

Pittsford, NY (PRWEB) April 24, 2006 -- Newspaper Agency Corporation has selected the VoicePort speech application, CircPort, to field circulation phone calls to its two prominent Utah based newspapers; The Deseret Morning News, and The Salt Lake Tribune. With a collective circulation of over 200,000 daily, Newspaper Agency Corporation will implement the OnSite solution, in combination with VoicePort’s internet based circulation product WebPort, as well as CTI software.

Previous to purchasing the CircPort solution, Newspaper Agency Corporation utilized a touch-tone IVR. The selection of a speech solution through VoicePort will provide their customers with additional features which are impossible to transact through touch-tone. Subscribers to The Deseret Morning News and The Salt Lake Tribune will be able to access their account 24/7 to place a vacation hold, make a payment, change their address and much more through both the phone and internet. Additionally, the WebPort and CircPort applications are completely integrated to the newspapers GEAC circulation database eliminating the need for agents to re-key information.

The CTI component will be provided by Upstream Works, of which VoicePort is a value- add reseller. Upstream Works has developed an industry reputation of delivering cost effective, operational solutions throughout the call center industry. The Deseret Morning News and The Salt Lake Tribune will be the first of many to benefit from this additional feature.

“It is important to recognize that the development of a speech application involves more than just the click of a button,” said Jacqueline Parks, Chief Technology Officer at VoicePort. “Our experienced engineers have created intuitive call flows which are constantly tested and improved upon to garner the highest automation rates possible. We are proud to be the first to offer speech to the newspaper industry, and will continue to adapt our product as the needs of our customers change.”

“After reviewing the various applications available, we selected the CircPort application for its rich functionality,” said Steve Gunn, Customer Service Manager at Newspaper Agency Corporation. “We believe that VoicePort’s solutions provide a superior caller experience to that of other vendors and compelling ROI.”
