New York, NY (PRWEB) April 24, 2006 -- Jen Elliott and Bluestruck introduce their hard-hitting new EP, "this damn song" at a gala evening on Tuesday, April 25 at the Red Lion at 151 Bleecker St in Manhattan. It all starts at 7 p.m and continues throughout the night with an impressive array of talent including Carrie Ashton and her powerful rootsy rock, pop/R&B diva Lyza Wilson, gritty country rockers, Early Grace and the Knot Watkins Invitational Blues Jam featuring the finest blues guitarists from New York and beyond.
Jen's set will also feature extra special guests who make an appearance on 'this damn song" and on her upcoming full length album, 8 DAYS DOWN (Fall 2006). These special talents include violinist Deni Bonet, New York rapper Timothy Dark and Robert Watkins on lap steel guitar.
Jen Elliott and Bluestruck's debut album, THE SECRET'S OUT, received Top 30 college radio airplay and critical acclaim from the press nationwide. Jen has been featured in issues of Entertainment Today, The Downtown Express, The Sun Herald, Inside Connection and Keyboard Magazine. To date, the band has performed at the Black Potatoe Festival 2005, NY Auto Show 2005, GoGirls Elite Showcase 2004, headlined at the Global Entertainment & Media Summits 2003/2004. Jen and her band continually perform at top venues in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and have opened for Nils Lofgren, The Little River Band, and Nine Days.
The Red Lion date kicks off a Northeastern mini-tour for the band including, among others, performances in Albany, Syracuse, Watertown, CT and Danbury, CT. The Jen Elliott April/May tour will be supported by a radio program targeting top independent and college radio stations throughout North America. Radio promotion will be handled by veteran radio promoter, The Planetary Group, based In Boston, MA. Jen will be joined on several of the tour's stop by her labelmates, The Velmas, the kings of rock in upstate New York.
