"We've seen some companies claim to have the “lowest international rates’ around," said EasyTel CEO Thomas Skala, "Well in this case, we think 'low rates' are still too high. This year we're expanding the GenieNet worldwide to provide local and international service in about forty countries on five continents, WITHOUT any International telephone charges. With EasyTel, our subscribers will talk globally but pay ONLY locally."

The company has already begun the expansion, with the recent introduction of local service and Public Access Numbers in 128 cities in the UK and the 5 major markets in Australia.

"For our customers, this means that friends or family living overseas or traveling around the world, or business associates in any of these countries can now reach each other across the globe with only a local call, and NO international phone charges”, Skala continued.

"Family subscribers in Paris, London, or Dublin, can call an EasyTel Public Access Number and reach a Genie Subscriber in any of 3,000 cities and communities in the United States. It's a local call for them, and we carry the call across the ocean to the US on GenieNet at zero cost to you! Business owners will be able to conduct a conference call with associates in Tokyo, Rio De Janeiro, New York and Montreal, while they're in Los Angeles – with no long distance or international charges – just the same 4 cents per minute conference call they'd pay here in the States! And those are just two of the ways to connect. With the Public Access Numbers, subscribers have international access to the full suite of features in their Universal Office."

For subscribers who need to receive more than just the occasional call to or from any of these international markets, the company offers a local presence in each market; with a private local number there for only $10 per month.

EasyTel integrated its own unified communications platform with InfoUSA's electronic banking services: The Universal Office, EasyTel’s proprietary soft switch, runs on GenieNet, a nation-wide private voice-over-IP network, (GenieNet).

EasyTel now provides local coverage in most US markets. Across the USA, in over three thousand cities and communities, and can be reached by approximately 80% of the population in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia as a local call. Through the use of a touch-tone telephone or the internet. NO OTHER EQUIPMENT IS NECESSARY.
