Just in time for Mother's Day, the Hannah Keith Scholarship Fund, Inc Tenth Annual Sweetheart Ball Scholarship Program will host their annual Mother-Daughter Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday, May 6th, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Hundreds of guests will hear wise words by the popular Washington, DC based advice columnists and authors, the Pearls of Wisdom From Three Generations. The event will be held at the Meredith College, Belk Dining Hall- West, 3800 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC.
Special keynote speakers are grandmother Celia Ford, daughter, Theresa Allen and granddaughter Pamela Simonson. The trio were 75, 50, and 25 years old when they wrote their award-winning collection of family sayings, famous quotes, and prayers, Pearls of Wisdom From Three Generations (Thelemaque Publishing). Since then, they also pen an advice column, "Ask Pearls of Wisdom", where the three women offer advice from a multi-generational perspective. They are also in-demand as inspirational speakers, bringing a unique and different program to events throughout the eastern seaboard. Simonson, the youngest of the three native New Yorkers, is a classically trained opera singer and will also render a selection at the event.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Hannah Keith Scholarship Fund’s 2006 Scholarship Awards for deserving High School Seniors who attend schools through out the Triangle Area. A portion will also be donated to and other Raleigh community service projects. Cost for tickets, which includes a delicious breakfast, a fashion show by Corbett Productions, and local entertainment the cost is $12.00 for advanced tickets and $15.00 for at the door.
