LeadPoint Appoints Former Shopzilla CEO Chuck Davis to Board of Directors
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) April 25, 2006 -- LeadPoint, Inc., the world’s first lead exchange marketplace, today announced the appointment of former Shopzilla CEO Chuck Davis to its growing Board of Directors.
Since he joined the company during pre-revenue times as president and chief executive officer in late 1999, Chuck Davis enabled Shopzilla Inc. (formerly BizRate.com) to become the largest, most profitable, and fastest growing comparison-shopping site online. His leadership led to The E.W. Scripps Company’s (NYSE:SSP) acquisition of Shopzilla in June 2005 for $569 million. Mr. Davis subsequently became Shopzilla’s Chairman until he left the company earlier this year. Mr. Davis now serves as a director for LeadPoint, Business.com, and LoyaltyLab and is Chairman of the Board of Fandango.

Prior to joining Shopzilla, Mr. Davis was president, e-Commerce, for The Walt Disney Company's Internet Group, where he launched profitable merchant and travel businesses including Disneystore.com and Disneyvacations.com, which comprised all theme park and travel businesses. Mr. Davis also managed all Disney Internet advertising sales, marketing, and online subscription initiatives from 1996-1998. He also previously held senior positions at TV Guide and Time Inc.'s Sports Illustrated, and received the 2004 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Los Angeles.
