On April 20, Everest Poker sent two players to Las Vegas to compete in the WPT Championship, the Season 4 finale of World Poker Tour:
go-juge
Nicola82
Both players were winners in Everest Poker's Direct Entry Satellite for the WPT Championship, held on March 25. Each player earned a $25,000 prize package, which included the $25,000 WPT Championship buy-in, as well as $3,000 in spending money.
The Las Vegas event started off well for both players, with Nicola82, from Italy, getting knocked out of the tournament on Day 3, finishing out of the money.
go-juge, from France, had an even stronger showing, finishing in 75th place and going home with $43,935.
"All of us here at Everest Poker were very excited about the WPT Championship," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker's Property Manager. "We were all closely following the daily action, and we're very proud of the way go-juge played. This is the strongest showing an Everest Poker player has ever put in at a major live tournament. Going home with almost $44,000 after winning a $5+$.50 rebuy tournament isn't too shabby at all!"
Everest Poker is also currently featuring satellite tournaments for the following events:
