“For The Kids” Fundraising Auction To Be Held June 3rd for Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, Ferndale, Washington Branch will be hosting a fundraising auction Saturday June 3, 2006. This is THE Community event in Ferndale with over 450 local business and community members in attendance.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, Ferndale, Washington Branch will be hosting a fundraising auction Saturday, June 3, 2006. This is the Community event in Ferndale with over 450 local business and community members in attendance. Items to be auctioned include: A Week Stay in Whistler, Tickets for Four in The Seattle Mariner’s Owner’s Suite, A Wine Rack filled with some of the Northwest’s finest wines, A Weekend Stay in Bend, OR and more. In addition, University of Washington Basketball Coach Lorenzo Romar will be in attendance to sign autographs and meet fans.

Without the many generous sponsors, the Club would not be able to put on this event. The presenting sponsors who have so kindly contributed this year are Samuel's Furniture, PRWeb, First Choice Business Machines, NorthStar Woodworks, and Alcoa Intalco Works. Each of these businesses have graciously stepped in to make this event which helps so many kids a reality.

The Boys & Girls Club of Ferndale is a non-profit organization committed to providing a safe and positive environment for youth in Whatcom County to learn & grow. The “For the Kids” Auction raises over 2/3rds of the Ferndale Club’s operating budget; helping to keep membership fees affordable for all youth. Money raised goes directly to the Club’s operating expenses assisting with programming, activities, scholarships, and youth sports.

This evening is a fun and festive way to support the over 1,200 youth served in Ferndale. The theme of this years event is A Ferndale Fifties Party, dinner will be catered by Silver Reef Hotel, Casino & Spa. Guests are encouraged to dress in 1950’s attire.

The Ferndale Club will also be holding an online auction, in addition to the June 3rd event. Beginning May 1st, the online component will feature many items that you will be able to find at the event as well as many items which are exclusively online items. The online auction will end May 31st.
