Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) April 28, 2006
Talent Technology Corporation (TTC), providers of award-winning recruitment, quality of hire, and other human capital software solutions, today announced the addition of Leaetta Hough, Ph.D. to its Advisory Board. Dr. Hough will assume her position immediately, as she concludes her one-year term as President of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the more than six-thousand member international professional association which focuses on applying psychological research and practice in the workplace.
In her role, Dr. Hough will be responsible for directing TTC’s Knowledge Center, an initiative dedicated to leading-edge research and development activities in the areas of talent sourcing, candidate assessment, talent acquisition and employee retention. According to Dr. Hough, "We see the Knowledge Center as a vehicle for assembling information, conducting research, and reporting to the human resources industry on newly emerging "best practices" in the talent acquisition and retention arena. Our goal: finding proven solutions, whether technology-based or delivered through creative human interventions that show the greatest contribution to organizational effectiveness."
"I have known and worked with Dr. Hough for more than a decade," said Dr. David Jones, Chairman of TTC. "Her accomplishments in assessment systems design, advances in applied human resources research, and grasp of the legal requirements inherent in talent acquisition make her ideal for our Knowledge Center role," said Jones. "Recent leadership of SIOP simply adds to her already impressive credentials. I look forward to working with Leaetta, TTC management, and our board as we make the Knowledge Center a powerful resource for our profession," Jones concluded.
Dr. Hough was a founder of Personnel Decisions Research Institute, and later founded The Dunnette Group, a research and development firm based in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has been an exceptionally active contributor to the scientific and professional literature, publishing dozens of papers in refereed journals, book chapters, reviews, and conference proceedings. She is co-editor of the four-volume Handbook of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and senior author of the most recent personnel selection chapter of the Annual Review of Psychology, as well as the personality assessment chapters in the Comprehensive Handbook of Psychology and the Handbook of Work, Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her contributions have been recognized by her election as a Fellow in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Association for Psychological Science (APS), the American Psychological
Association (APA), and APA’s Division Five – Evaluation, Measurement and Statistics.
Dr. Hough joins current and former TTC Advisory Board members who include Harold Poling, former Chairman and CEO of Ford Motor Company; Deborah Smith, former senior human resources executive with Merck & Company, Xerox, Bausch & Lomb, and Coty; and Peter Ciceri, former President of Compaq Canada.
