Information logistics company selected for AMM prototype development.

OPTIMUS Corporation, a company focused on Enterprise Information Management via Web Services and on mobile media, announced today that it has been awarded a Department of Defense contract to develop the prototype and proof of concept for Federal Logistic Information System Agile Mobile Media (FLIS AMM), a logistics information distribution system. For the development of this mission critical IT solution, OPTIMUS will work for the Defense Logistics Information Systems (DLIS), a component activity of the Defense Logistic Agency (DLA).

To date, DLIS has managed a major portion of the logistic information requirements of the warfighter in remote environments with degraded or non existent web connectivity using FED LOG, a logistics procurement database, published monthly on CD/DVD by OPTIMUS Corporation since 1992.

The FLIS AMM project allows DLIS to leverage specifically designed web applications to create mobile media products that permit military personnel to obtain the information they need anywhere, even within the last tactical mile.

The acquisition process associated with this award was managed by the Federal Systems Integration and Management Center or FEDSIM under the GSA Schedule 70 Contract for Information Technology Services.

OPTIMUS Corporation, headquartered in Fort Collins Colorado and incorporated in 1987, has continually focused on advancing Information Logistics™, comprising technologies, architectures and infrastructures that enable the secure and reliable flow of information within the reach of an enterprise ‘on time, every time’. OPTIMUS offers its versatile services and innovative product solutions to both corporations and government entities.
