Encaustic Artist Kyle Evans Makes Triple Play with New Painting Releases For May
Encaustic Artist Kyle Evans will be showing new works in three seperate venues simultaneously in the U.S. and Canada
Portland, OR (PRWEB) May 2, 2006 -- American encaustic artist Kyle Evans has announced the release of several new paintings that will go on display beginning in May this year.
"Who says you can't be in two places at once...or three," jokes the artist who began his career as a sculptor, but made the transition to painting and encaustics in the mid 1990's.
The May venues include florals and landscapes at Bella Perla Gallery in Portland, Oregon; figurative work at Galerie Gora in Montreal, Quebec; and what Evans calls "art of the vine" at Vinopolis, also in Portland, Oregon.
Although Evans has been represented internationally by Galerie Gora since 2002 the relationship with Bella Perla is more recent. "We've been working on putting things together for several months. They're a new gallery and it's just makes sense to develop that relationship at an even pace," says Evans. "My last gallery here ran at a rather panicked pace and I don't like drama in a working relationship."
Evans has also been showing at Vinopolis for the past two years. Not a normal venue for his work, but he sums it up as a labor of love. "Hey, I live in the Northwest. We make great wines here. Wine and art love each other, and I love them both."
