BangBuckTicket.com gathers data about the high-demand sports ticket after-market. They evaluate each ticket and give it a quality/cost rating known as the "Bang Factor". This rating takes into consideration the location of the seat, seat row, original face value, current market value, seller fees, shipping fees, premium values of the seat, obstructions, probability of foul balls and home runs and proximity to food and beverage. There are also several other items that affect the "bang factor" of the ticket.
All of the factors are gathered and weighed then presented to the consumer. The consumer can sort of these rating and well as sort by section, row, price and seller. Links to purchase the ticket are provided to the seller.
BangBuckTicket.com charges no fee to the consumer for this service.
Don Keller, VP of BangBuckTicket.com describes the origin and goals -- "My business partner and I are both huge baseball fans. We not only share the same interest in the game but an interest in the revival of baseball stadiums. We each had a passion to learn about the dimensions, the architecture and the special features of each ballpark.
Our parent company bought season tickets to the local team to entertain clients and prospects. But our team started off the season at 15-30 and no one wanted to go to the game with us, so we wanted to recoup that investment. To do that we posted them for sale in some after-market exchanges.
We had a difficult time trying to determine a good selling price for the tickets and spent way too much time looking at different sites trying to gather detail on sections, face values, market values and comparing them. It dawned on us that if we as sellers were having a difficult time sorting through the maze -- what is the consumer experience like? Wouldn't it be great if someone would be able to tell me what the best ticket is and show me by how much? BangBuckTicket.com was born."
The parent company of BangBuckTicket.com is an IT System Integrator specializing in developing .NET based applications. Their in house staff was used to create BangBuckTicket.com.
