Through the use of technology and the Internet, CCOC’s mission is to help bring awareness to the issues that are important to socially conscious organizations and companies.

CCOC helps organizations and companies develop innovative Internet marketing strategies that deliver against their long and short-term campaign goals. In doing so, CCOC connects the right information with the right people bringing organizations' messages to the forefront of public debate.

“By incorporating the Internet in outreach activities, organizations and companies dramatically increase their chances of reaching their target audiences such as potential donors, journalists, policy makers and other relevant professionals,” says Cruz Coleman.

Following more than five years of professional writing and Internet-based marketing experience, Eileen Cruz Coleman launched Cruz Coleman Online Communications LLC (CCOC) in February 2005.

During three years at Burness Communications, a Bethesda-based public relations firm serving non-profit clients, Cruz Coleman directed Internet marketing campaigns for a wide array of groups, including the Progress on Pain Writer’s Project, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the National Network for Immunization Information, and Science News for Kids.

Leaving the corporate world behind and bringing with him marketing expertise and client/customer relations experience, Chris Coleman joined CCOC in November 2005.

“We believe that in order to help nonprofit organizations and foundations get their messages out to a wider audience by harnessing the power of the Internet, we must immerse ourselves in their causes. As such, whenever possible, we make ourselves accessible by scheduling onsite visits during which our primary goal is to come away with a better understanding of the organization’s day- to-day activities and overall philosophy,” says Coleman.

As a husband-and-wife team working side by side, Eileen and Chris are dedicated to helping those who are working to make our world a better place to live. They hope to someday travel the world teaching socially conscious groups how to incorporate the Internet in their outreach activities with the hope that they will then teach others.

“We believe in building online communities and relationships through the sharing of information. In order to successfully make changes in the world, we must not only learn from each other but we must also help each other achieve otherwise impossible goals,” says Cruz Coleman.
