About the keynote speakers

Hugh MacDonald, VP Operations and Knowledge Management HR Division, CIBC

Hugh MacDonald is Vice President, Operations and Knowledge Management with the HR Division of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)--one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. A certified HR professional, he is responsible for CIBC’s e-HR strategy and in particular for global HR administration for 45,000 employees. Included in his portfolio is the responsibility for managing CIBC’s HR Outsourcing relationship with EDS.

Prior to joining CIBC, Hugh had been Vice President of Administration and Human Resources for Constellation Assurance. Over the last twenty years, he has managed or negotiated more than a dozen M&A projects—including several of Canada’s largest outsourcing and co-sourcing arrangements.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Hugh has an MA in Land Warfare and had done post-graduate work in Peace Studies. He says he has found both areas of expertise more useful than an MBA in managing outsourcing projects.

Andy Teng, Editor, HRO Today

Andy Teng, is the editor of HRO Today, FAO Today and HRO Europe Magazine, which focus on human resource and business process outsourcing. He has more than 20 years of journalism experience and was the founding editor of Medical Product Outsourcing Magazine prior to joining Outsourcing Today, the publisher of HRO Today.

John Jaeger, President and CEO, YRCI

John Jaeger is the President and CEO of YRCI. He is a leader, entrepreneur and is involved in civic activities. After serving in the US Navy in the mid 1970’s, he attended the University of Maryland, University College and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with emphasis in Personnel and Labor Relations.

Mr. Jaeger has more than 20 years of experience in the Human Resources and business management. Since entering the HR field in 1982, he has worked in both corporate and service-provider environments and has managed projects with up to 35 people and staffs of more than 120 persons. Mr. Jaeger has worked for a regional technology recruiting firm, a UK based data communications manufacturer and Booz-Allen-Hamilton prior to founding the first of three firms he has owned and managed.
