East Texas Author Featured On Local Television
East Texan's notoriety reaches an apex as his writing gains the recognition of local TV personalities including Bob Brackeen and Joan Hallmark.
(PRWEB) May 8, 2006 -- On April 4th, 2006, Edward Hancock II was interviewed by Bob Brackeen co-host of Channel 56's East Texas Live. The two discussed Edward's latest book, In The Breath of God (http://www.publishamerica.com/shopping/shopdisplayproducts.asp?catalogid=12463), which was released earlier this year.
On the heals of that exciting discussion, Joan Hallmark of Channel 7's Proud of East Texas interviewed Hancock in his Gilmer, Texas home. That interview -- which is a much more indepth look into Edward's personal battles with Spina Bifida, Pituitary Cancer and balancing parenthood and a burgeoning career -- is set to air May 13th, following channel 7's 10:00 newscast. A re-broadcast of the interview will air the following Thursday, May 18th during Channel 7's midday programming.
"I've never been more excited about my writing career as I am right now," Hancock said, regarding the sudden increase in noteriety. "It's literally a dream come true." A dream, Hancock says, that is more than twenty years in the making.
And it appears that years of hard work is finally paying off as the interviews are already generating a ripple effect in the media and the general public alike.
"I've had fans e-mail me with comments about the book. I've had a couple of bookstores contact me. Strangest of all is that I've reconnected with friends I haven't seen or heard from in more than ten years."
What can readers and fans expect from Edward in the near future? "I've finally finished the editing of the next Mendez tale and I'm hoping to get it released soon. I've outlined over twenty books in this exciting series so I've got plenty to keep me -- and the Mendez clan -- occupied. In the meantime I'm pretty busy with In The Breath of God."
