The first English translation of a manual and accompanying Website designed to show employees how to keep the boss happy was released this week by the Beckham Publications Group. The Ass Kisser’s Manual, originally published in Portuguese by journalist Ademar Gomes, is filled with tips and encouragement for ass kissers.
Its accompanying Web site (http://www.akisser.com) offers free membership to the International Association of Ass Kissers (IAA), forums, and an award, Ass Kisser of the Month, according to publicist Lise Kaufman. “All available research shows that the practice of ass kissing grows every day, but there hasn’t been a community base to bring these proud people together,” she says.
According to Kaufman, members can share their experiences at the Web site and help each other become better ass kissers.
The landmark guide was first published in 1993 by Brazilian journalist Ademar Gomes. He died in 2003 but his daughter brought the English translation to Beckham after moving to the U.S. last year. The author of seven books, Gomes offers a series of recipes for employees to study and restudy.
His recipes include practices like looking good but never too good, courting the wife, happily accepting blame, standing up for the boss under all circumstances, and more.
In addition to the 72- page retail trade edition at $7.95, the publisher offers a downloadable ebook version for $5.95 at its web site (http://www.beckhamhouse.com).
The book jacket features laudatory comments from bosses at Thyme-Wanna Inc., U.S. Steal, and Came Bridge University.
Kaufman says that the book will be on display at Beckham’s BookExpo Booth 5145 in Washington, DC, May 19-21.
