Edward Roberts International is holding a Fine and Rare Wine auction and tasting on Saturday May 20th, 2006 at The Chicago Yacht Club, 400 E. Monroe St. (at Lake Michigan), Chicago, IL 60603. The tasting, which costs $50 per person (by advance reservation), will start at 10:00 a.m. CST and features 60 fine and rare wines including 1964 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti La Tache as well as a selection of domestic caviar and specialty caviar creations from the Collins Caviar Company. There is no charge to attend the auction, which will commence at 11:30 a.m. CST and includes a range of fine and rare wine valued at over one million dollars.

Highlights include the collection of the late Richard E. Meyer, former President and Chief Operating Officer of the world renowned fragrance company Jovan, and creator of the Chicago Bears "Superbowl Shuffle". Rarities from this collection include 1924 and 1961 Chateau Latour, 1928 Chateau Pichon-Lalande, 1949 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, and a range of select Bordeaux from 1959 thru 1982.

This sale also contains the John S. Pepper collection which consists of classic Bordeaux going back to 1928 Chateau Beychevelle and 1949 Chateau Gruaud-Larose, fine Burgundy with a nice selection of the 1996 vintage, and great depth in California classics; late harvest wines from Germany, Alsace and the Loire including 1959 Moulin Touchais are also well represented; as are prized Madeiras and highly rated wines from the Rhone, Italy, Spain and Australia.

Other offerings of note include an exciting collection from the estate of Henry Zipp Lang III with many notable California cults and classics, desirable Bordeaux, prized Rhone wines and an extensive listing of Italian estates. Selections from a famed Parisian cellar are 1929 Chateau Cheval Blanc, and 1947 Chateaux Climens and La Tour Blanche, with other sought after Bordeaux in large formats including a magnum of 1982 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild; and from the Rhone valley coveted older vintages of Guigal single vineyard Cote Roties.

Also on offer are highly rated 2000 Bordeaux as well as a number of other excellent consignments. Further notable highlights are mature DRC selections with 1959, 1969, 1972 and 1983 Romanee-Conti; and 1969 and 1972 Vogue Musigny Vieilles Vignes; as well as an additional offering of well aged German late harvest wines.
