California Space & Technology News Set to Premiere Via Internet and Podcast May 15

First ever daily space, technology, and science news online broadcast to be available on CSTN.TV.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 4, 2006 -- The first online comprehensive daily space, technology and science news program is set to launch May 15th on CSTN.TV, and will also be available as a daily podcast. The announcement was made today by Jules Ross, President and CEO of California Space & Technology News (CSTN).

Anchors for CSTN will include Steve Truitt (HGTV, Discovery Health), and Los Angeles based news anchor/reporter Cheryl Johnson. The program will cover a wide range of topics, including Deep Space News, Mars, Lower Earth Orbit, World News, NASA News, Global Warming news, Game News, Health Science, Financial News and Tech News.

Subjects will be presented in feature-segment form so that viewers can review only those stories that are of particular interest to them. Segments will not be held to any particular time-length so that as much information as possible can be provided.

“We’re on the verge of a new space era,” Ross explained. “California leads the country in extensive space and science programs, so it is the perfect place to base our news broadcast. Our goal is to take a leading role in delivering up-to-the-minute space, technology, and science news to the world through CSTN.”

In a letter to the producers of CSTN, governor Arnold Schwarzenegger stated, “Your efforts to develop a space and technology television program helps keep California at the forefront of progress and development, and I am grateful for your pioneering vision.”

Jules Ross and Steve Truitt will appear this Saturday at the International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles.

CSTN has already received endorsements by the California Space Authority, X-Prize Foundation, Space Tourism Society, Florida Space Authority, the Planetary Society, National Space Society, and the S.E.T.I. Institute (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence). Internet viewers will be able to access the programs by using a special User Name and Password, which will be provided on a subscription basis.

Ross will serve as Executive Producer, along with Truitt, and Sheldon I. Altfeld. Jerry Jaskulski will act as Associate Producer, and rounding off the team is media consultant Al Footnick.
