Morgan Mandel, author of the Chicago-area mystery, Two Wrongs, is featured this May on two romance author websites where she discusses her latest book and what’s coming next, as well as her writing secrets and the motivations behind her work. Look for Morgan at http://www.romanceloverscorner.com and http://www.chicagonorthrwa.org. Also check out her website at http://www.morganmandel.com.

Author Morgan Mandel, best known for her popular Chicago-area mystery, Two Wrongs, is the featured guest on two romance author websites this May, at http://www.romanceloverscorner.com and http://www.chicagonorthrwa.org.

These forums provide Mandel the opportunity to get her message across that Two Wrongs is not only a tale of revenge, but also about the healing power of love.

Mandel, a debut author herself, is happy to kick off the featured author segment of the brand new Romance Lovers Corner, http://www.romanceloverscorner.com, where readers can learn about familiar, as well as up-and-coming romance authors and their books.

Since the new site is run by Dawn Dowdle, who has successfully operated the Mystery Lovers Corner at http://www.mysteryloverscorner.com, Mandel looks forward to seeing the same quality of craftsmanship afforded the romance genre as enjoyed by the mystery genre.

The second, but just as worthy website where Mandel is featured during May is http://www.chicagonorthrwa.org. This site is particularly dear to Mandel's heart, since she has been a member of the Chicago-North Chapter of Romance Writers of America® for over 10 years and at one time served as its president.

Mandel considers it an honor to be spotlighted by a group whose mentoring has done so much to further her career. She credits her present day success to Chicago-North RWA® whose members have provided her with invaluable critiques and encouragement over the years. The chapter is part of the National Romance Writers of America®, the standard-bearer and advocate for romance writers in this country.

Having been a member of a romance writers’ chapter for so long, Mandel says it was natural that she include romance in her mystery. In fact, she couldn’t keep it out.

Mandel assures male readers that the courtroom scene, the Bronson-like revenge plot, as well as descriptions of the hero’s basketball career at DePaul University and in the pros should capture their interest.

Chicago and its surrounds are the setting for this debut mystery, with the climactic scene occurring at Marshall Field’s on State Street during the Christmas Season. Readers can share Morgan Mandel’s own childhood memories of savoring ice cream snowmen creations in Marshall Field’s Walnut Room beneath the Great Tree, as well as enjoying the ever popular Frango® mints.

The book explores the effects of wrongful imprisonment on both the accused and the accuser. The hero’s sister is murdered and his mistake sends the wrong person to prison. When that person is freed, no one the hero loves is safe. To save the woman he holds dear, he must turn his back on her and sacrifice a second chance at love.

Morgan Mandel invites everyone to attend a booksigning of Two Wrongs on Thursday, May 25, 2006, from 7pm – 9pm at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 590 East Golf Road, Schaumburg, Illinois, 60173. Telephone: 847-310-0892.

Plans are also in the works for a reading and booksigning at the Buffalo Grove Fine Arts Festival the afternoon of Sunday, July 16, 2006. Look for further details on Morgan’s website.
