PriSim Business War Games Inc., a premier business simulation and training firm, announced the development of QuikStart™, an online video-introduction for attendees of PriSim's business training courses. QuikStart™ can be implemented as a pre-course introduction so that attendees can more quickly “come up to speed” on the business challenge ahead of them during a PriSim course. The program consists of a short video that introduces the course and the simulation to attendees, allowing the value of time spent in the course to be maximized. PriSim has implemented the QuikStart™ approach at several of its clients and is continuing to develop the service and offer it to all of its clients.

The QuikStart™ introduction is accessed, along with other pre-read assignments, through PriSim’s online Materials Center. The video portion of the introduction is an explanation of the course, a demonstration of the simulation, and an overview of the course pre-reads. The practice version of the simulation included in some QuikStart™ programs then allows attendees to actually run the software and begin experimenting with it before they arrive at the course.

In addition, PriSim is working to develop a series of brief QuikStart™ videos overviewing fundamental finance and strategy concepts so that more advanced topics can be covered during the course itself.

“The Leadership Laboratory is a unique course in the Delphi curriculum. The simulation makes it real for the participants,” says Ron Tullis, Manager of Organization and Employee Development at Delphi Automotive Systems. “PriSim's Quikstart™ video introduction reinforces that uniqueness by bringing the pre-work to life. It does a great job explaining the course and introducing the instructor.”

“We have three main goals with the QuikStart™ approach: to speed-up the initial introduction to the course so that people show up ready to roll during the first hour of the course; to reduce their anxiety; and to generate excitement even before they show up at the course,” says David Semb, a Partner at PriSim. “This is part of what we’re doing to make our courses even more user-friendly and more ‘turnkey’ for our clients. The more quickly attendees can get up to speed on the business challenge, the more value they and their companies get out of the course.”

PriSim Business War Games’ business simulations and courses provide managers across all industries with a practice-ground where new ideas can be tested and where strategies can be practiced in a what-if environment. With the introduction of the QuikStart™ online video introduction, PriSim has further refined its course delivery approach as it continues to deliver unique, computer-simulation based business training solutions to leading organizations worldwide. At PriSim, we make learning real™.
