New Anthology Features Fiction About Popular Rock Bands
Rockfic Press releases Road Hazards - 30 stories featuring fictionalized versions of popular rock bands. The growing base of band fiction fans can now enjoy stories away from the Internet.
Asheville, NC (PRWEB) May 8, 2006 -- Band fiction is hardly new, and thanks to the Internet it's gaining in awareness and popularity every day, mainly among female readers of all ages. Now, for those who want the convenience of being able to toss their band fiction in a bookbag or take it along on the bus with them, Rockfic Press has put together an anthology of thirty band fiction stories and made it available in paperback.
Road Hazards takes you on the road with fictionalized versions of popular rock bands. The stories take place in cramped tour buses, luxurious private jets, uncomfortable vans, back stage areas, and a blur of hotel rooms. The range of bands includes those popular in the 70s, 80s, 90s and today.
Most of the stories in Road Hazards are what is known as "slash" fiction, a subgenre in which straight subjects are bent, either somewhat or quite a lot, for the sake of the story. Some of the stories have explicit content. All of the stories were written by, and primarily for, female fans of rock band fiction.
Road Hazards is available at a discount directly from the Rockfic Press store ( www.rockficpress.com ), or through Amazon and other online booksellers.
About Rockfic Press:
Rockfic Press, LLC, located in Asheville, NC, was founded out of Rockfic.com, a two-year-old Internet archive for rock band fiction, when members of the subscription-based site expressed a desire to have their favorite band fiction stories available in paperback, so that they could enjoy them the way they enjoy their favorite non-band-fiction novels.
