The Out in America Cities Network is pleased to announce its acquisition of EXP Magazine.

The Out in America Cities Network is pleased to announce its acquisition of EXP Magazine, a merger which will allow the company to expand its global reach through the addition of a multiregional print publication to its 750,000-member strong network of websites.

“The synergistic opportunity here is immensely exciting from all perspectives,” said Out in America C.F.O. Gregg McConnell.

Since publisher Jeff Balk launched EXP’s first publication in St. Louis in 1996, the now Rehoboth Beach, Del.-based company has developed into a thriving biweekly news and entertainment publication with a combined monthly circulation of 48,000 that spans the Mountain, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States in 40 cities in 13 states as well as Washington, D.C.

"I am thrilled to be associated with one of the largest GLBT websites in the U.S.,” Balk said. “With this sale comes more news and entertainment for both print and online platforms. We have always been limited in what we could present online, but now the ideas are endless as we will be Out in America.”

As the largest city-based GLBT online network in the United States, the Out in America Cities Network’s 178 city sites range from New York to Los Angeles as well as across Canada, Mexico and the U.K., all of which are collectively frequented by 7.6 million visitors monthly.
