QHR helped three hospital clients - Jennie Stuart Medical Center (KY), Rutherford Hospital (NC), and Coffeyville Regional Medical Center (KS) make the Solucient's Top 100 Performance Improvement Leaders list.

Three QHR Management Services hospital clients have been named to the annual list of “100 Top Hospitals®: Performance Improvement Leaders”, named by Solucient, a national healthcare information company:

Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Hopkinsville, KY

Rutherford Hospital, Rutherfordton, NC

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, KS

Solucient used the five most recently available years of data from three federal databases (inpatient and outpatient) to analyze 2,744 hospitals. Hospitals on the list are those that saw the fastest and most consistent rate of positive change in nine measures of financial, operational, and clinical performance over this time period. Solucient highlights these hospitals to recognize management teams and boards that are committed to a culture of performance improvement.

Terry Peeples, CEO of Jennie Stuart Medical Center, praised his staff for making significant performance improvements, and QHR for showing the way: “QHR provides leadership and direction in everything we do. In this case, the QHR quality improvement consultants helped us focus on monitoring specific indicators so we could quickly identify areas of concern and successfully improve them.” The CEO of Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Jerry Marquette, also appreciated the leadership QHR provides to the hospital: “QHR guided our productivity systems development and also improved the skills of many of our department heads through the QHR Learning Institute.” Finally, Bob Jones, CEO of Rutherford Hospital, cited QHR’s trustee education programs as key to his hospital’s success: “QHR teaches board members about the complex business of healthcare, which leads to make better decision-making. Our board understands and supports our recommendations to improve hospital performance.”
