(PRWEB) May 10, 2006 -- After successfully guiding in Key West, Florida, for ten years, Greg McKee, relocated to Vieques, Puerto, Rico full time in the summer of 2005, leaving behind the ever increasing number of boats chasing a limited amount of fish each season. What Greg, owner of WildFly Charters, found was an island where often seeing another boat on the water is the exception, not the rule, and all of the great flats species are available. WildFly Charters has signed on with AmericanFlyFishingTravel.com.

The Fishing: Tarpon, Bonefish, and Snook are three of the most common targets along our mangrove shorelines and sheltered bays. Permit, Jacks, Snapper, and numerous other fish that have never seen a fly are also found throughout most of the year.

Wild Fly Charters provides everything needed for one or two anglers to spend a day on the water using fly or spinning gear. No previous flats fishing experience is necessary and Greg, owner, gladly provide instruction to beginners. Greg's boat is an original Maverick Mirage, the only one on the island, powered by the newest Evinrude E-Tec 90 outboard. This combination will get anglers to the shallowest waters quickly, safely, and comfortably with maximum time spent fishing. Sightseeing, bird watching, and photography charters are also available for non-anglers.

The Area: A visitor to Vieques for the first time will find a taste of what the Florida Keys were like almost a century ago, with just enough of the modern world thrown in for comfort. Men and women on horseback, riding right alongside the cars, are an everyday sight on our roads, none of which has a single traffic light. A Jeep rental will provide access to any of more than 40 beaches covering almost all the Vieques shoreline. This will allow do-it-yourself anglers a shot at some of our prized species. Accommodations ranging from comfortable, air-conditioned rooms starting at $60 a night to entire luxury villas set on stunning vistas can be found across the island. Many great shops, bars, and restaurants are located right on the water without any brand name chains to be found. An Eco-tourist paradise, Vieques, Puerto Rico is a welcoming, undiscovered escape from the overcrowded and commercialized islands now so common in the 21st century Caribbean.

AmericanFlyFishingTravel.com has established affiliations with Orbitz, Hot Wire, Budget Car Rental, Delta Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Travelex Insurance, Medjet Assist, Patagonia, REI, Ex-Officio and many helpful websites such as The Weather Channel, Map-Quest, Moon & Tide Charts and the US State Department.
