Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 10, 2006 -- The Reality Cares Foundation at The Giving Back Fund (www.RealityCares.org), an organization dedicated to helping the reality television industry respond to some of the most pressing problems facing society, announced today that they will be hosting a day-long charity shopping benefit to help raise funds for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

The event, hosted by Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry, will be held at the Ed Hardy store, 7817 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90046, on May 20, 2006, from 12pm-4pm. All items will be 20% off and Ed Hardy will donate 20% of all shopping proceeds to MADD. Brian Graden, President Entertainment of MTV Music Group & LOGO, will be introducing Miss America.

Reality stars will be coming together to draw out their fans and supporters as well as those who would like to help benefit MADD.

"On behalf of the Miss America Organization, I am delighted to be a part of this wonderful event. I share in this important cause to raise awareness for Building Intolerance to Drunk Driving and Underage Drinking, which has also become my 2006 platform message. As the National Spokesperson for MADD, I am proud to be working with Mother's Against Drunk Driving to help save lives and to make a positive difference. The Reality Cares Benefit is the perfect opportunity for all of us to come together with our community to support this life-saving message," stated Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry.

“While drinking and driving is a serious problem throughout the country, it is particularly problematic here in Los Angeles where most people rely on their car as their main mode of transportation,” said Todd Michael Krim, founder of The Reality Cares Foundation. “Reality Cares is fortunate to have found great partners in Miss America, MADD and Ed Hardy to help bring attention and funds to this important cause.”
